How do you know if something is actually strong?
You put it under pressure. Test it!
When working with steel we use a different word though: You prove it.
Oh boy, I can see the life metaphor coming from a mile away 👇

⚡️ F5 Fast Files - Short Summary
Strength is revealed under load.
God knows exactly what you can carry.
Reinforcements increase structural integrity
Brotherhood = Built-In Reinforcement 🤝
🔧 Proving Steel
In modern language “proving” has a couple different meanings.
To provide concrete evidence that supports a conclusion.
To test materials under load for vulnerabilities.
Proving steel under a load provides the proof of structural integrity. This not only tells us exactly what the structure can carry but because the steel was stressed, pushed, and loaded its overall strength increases 🤯
Depending on the load being placed on the structure, an engineer also designs reinforcements for any place that seems weak or vulnerable.
🔧 The Master Engineer
A man at church this Sunday shared a time in his life when several deaths in his family all happened right in a row.
Then he said something I won’t forget:
“God will test you, but like a master engineer He knows the limits of your structural integrity. If He adds more load, He will also add reinforcements.”
Like proving steel, we find ourselves in a mortality full of tests. It’s not just for pointing out our weaknesses, but helping us become something stronger!
How hard will it be? How many trials will we endure? How much proving do we need?
Henry B. Eyring taught:
“He is making you strong enough to carry the weight of eternal life.”
Ultimately, there’s only one who can reinforce our weaknesses for such a lofty vision. Jesus.
🔥 Grateful for Difficult
God isn’t guessing. He knows:
your circumstance
your limits
And your potential
Like an engineer he calculates both the load and the reinforcement.
Often, divine reinforcements don’t look like miracles.
They look like people.
A friend checking in.
A brother showing up.
Someone who listens or quietly has your back
I can honestly say, many of you have been that for me.
Thank you,
Justin
