Good morning!

Have you ever been disappointed about something at first, just to find out later it was the best thing to ever happen?? (No, not just salty breakups 😉)

We talk a lot about enduring hardship.

The grind. Pushing through. Building resilience.

So here’s a different question:

“Can you endure success?

⚡️ F5 Fast Files - Short Summary

  • Success isn’t the reward, it’s the next test.

  • Your habits reveal what you actually want.

  • Stop shrinking to stay comfortable.

  • Move forward. Don’t look back.

📣 More F5 men stepping into fatherhood this week! Congratulations on the new additions, Jared and Sterling! Great men like these raising families gives me hope for our society.

Speaking of fatherhood. For anyone in southern Utah, or those willing to travel, we’ve been invited to attend the Momento Mori Men’s Retreat hosted by “Dads Need Friends”! Build deep brotherhood, release stress, gain clarity, and commit to legacy at this powerful 2-day retreat. More info HERE.

🏡 The House

My wife and I were talking recently about some of her interactions with close friends.

She loves these girls.

But sometimes, when jokes drift toward the “wealthy side of town” with eye rolls and exaggerations, she feels a subtle, uncomfortable shift.

Let me rewind.

We’ve been building a house for over a year. A big one. A nice one. I’ve been personally busting my back every day to make it ours. It’s been sacrifice. Sweat. Risk. Faith.

But here’s what this conversation had me thinking:

What happens when we finally get there… and a little time passes… and my muscles don’t feel sore anymore… and the big nice house just becomes normal?

Are we suddenly “those people”?

Maybe.

I’m dramatizing a little to make the point, but the underlying question is real!

🎉 After You Win

We prepare to endure the grind, but are you prepared to endure the win?

Think about it.

  • Does financial freedom get boring?

  • Does extra time just become extra doom scrolling?

  • Do you shrink yourself so your old circle stays comfortable?

  • Do you sabotage momentum because success feels unfamiliar?

The Hidden Strings

We say we want financial freedom…

But we still cling to old stories about how “rich people are snobby.”

We say we want achievement…

Right after sending one more meme, after one more scroll, one more excuse.

We say we want growth…

From inside our comfort zone.

We keep glancing back at what “they” might say, like Lot’s wife looking back at Sodom and Gomorrah.

Faith looks forward. You cannot move toward your promised land while emotionally anchored to the comfort of the past.

💪 Acting Like the Man Who Already Has It

Maybe the best way to get what we say we want is to act like the kind of person who already has it.

You want financial freedom?

Start managing your time like someone whose time matters.

You want to be fit?

Move like a fit person moves. Eat like he eats.

You want to reconnect with your wife?

Be present now - not “once things slow down.”

You want to start a business? Run a marathon? Coach baseball? Run for office?

There’s nothing stopping you from starting,

Unless you don’t actually want it. At least not with the conditions it takes to achieve it.

🔥 What you Actually Want

I would argue that we are already getting exactly what we truly want.

Because our habits reveal our real desires.

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” - Aristotle

When you want it, no strings attached, your thoughts and actions align to create it.

Are you able to endure success?

Not just survive the climb, but live faithfully at the top.

Success tests you the way that struggle never did.

Keep your eyes forward,

Justin
