“The past is meant to be learned from, not lived in.”
We’ve spent weeks talking about:

2025 is over. You will move forward - that part is inevitable.
The real question is:
What are you bringing with you? What are you leaving behind?
Take a moment and remember:
✨ The magic and milestones
💥 The flops and failures.
Not to beat yourself up - but to objectively assess where you’re at, how far you’ve come, where attention is still needed.
🔒 “Remember the captivity of your fathers.”
This phrase shows up all over scripture.
Alma 5:6, 9-14:
6 “…have you sufficiently retained in remembrance the captivity of your fathers? Yea, and have you sufficiently retained in remembrance his mercy and long-suffering towards them? And moreover, have ye sufficiently retained in remembrance that he has delivered their souls from hell?
13 And behold, he preached the word unto your fathers, and a mighty change was also wrought in their hearts, and they humbled themselves and put their trust in the true and living God. And behold, they were faithful until the end; therefore they were saved.
14 And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye spiritually been born of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts?
Is God asking for a bigger emphasis on family history? No.
He’s reminding us of The Deliverer. His mercy. His power. His ability to break bondage.
As you take this moment to look back on 2025, don’t just recall the growth and lessons. Identify those things that held you captive, maybe some still do.
Do you remember moments of divine intervention? Where did you see God’s hand?
He’s delivered you before, I know he will bring you through 2026 too.
