F5 Fast Files: “I Am Making It”

You are making it — one action, one belief, one step at a time.

Even if the result isn’t here yet, belief in your future reality isn’t dishonest — it’s directional.

We’re all somewhere between what we’ve been and what we’re becoming. So don’t say, “I made it.” Or even “I'll fake it till I make it.”

Say, “I am making it!💪

👏 Big Shoutout to Nick this week!

This F5 brother challenged himself to identify 100 negative beliefs about himself and rewrite each one into a positive truth.

That’s no small task, but what could be more impactful than seeing yourself the way God sees you? His journey to see himself clearly has spurred a lot of this week’s thoughts.

You’re awesome, Nick. Keep it up! 🔥

💬 Belief in YOU

How would you rate your relationship with yourself 1-10? Why?

Do you like who you are? Are you who you hoped you'd be?

Are you compassionate with yourself? Are you patient with yourself when you fail or fall? Is your self-talk encouraging or demeaning?

Elder S. Gifford Nielsen pointed out- "I don't know about you, but when I read [the] two great commandments, I detect a third, implied commandment: to love thyself."

In the pursuit to see yourself clearly, don't forget to see yourself eternally! You're not the mistakes you've made, you're the good you're becoming!

💫 Becoming YOU

What if you spoke about yourself like you already were what you want to become?

During my Ironman training I told myself for months "I am a good swimmer!"…when in reality I was sputtering, half-drowning in the pool. 🏊‍♂️

It felt ridiculous — how could I believe something that wasn’t yet true? But belief in my future self wasn’t dishonest — it was directional.

It gave me the momentum to act like a good swimmer long enough to become one. Belief + Related Action = Future Reality. (For good or bad, I might add).

Saying you're a Son of God isn't just about who you were or who you are, it's a declaration about your divine destiny- who you'll become!

💡 Belief in Action

Another F5 brother, Brennon, nailed it:

“If I’m taking action toward becoming something, that’s good enough. For example: I might not be healthy yet, but if I’m doing what healthy people do — I’m becoming healthy.”

That’s the balance between belief and behavior. When both move together, you’re living with integrity in who you’re becoming. When the belief OR behavior is lacking you'll feel the dissonance in your life.

What's something you could change today to better align your beliefs or behavior with who you want to become?

⚔️ This Week’s Challenge

Say it aloud- “I am making it.”

Say it again! “I am making it.”

Then prove it with one small action your future self would take in your Faith, Family, Fitness, or Finances.

Don't get discouraged! You may not have made it yet.

But you are, right now, something glorious in the making!

You're making it!
